It\u2019s quite common that main contractors only know whether a project is profitable after it finishes. Even in retrospect, it\u2019s very hard to tell what exactly went right or wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subcontractor progress reports, invoices, and contracts are spread between hundreds of emails and dozens of folders, and budgets are managed in Excel. Getting an invoice or progress report approved often means chasing people for weeks (provided it doesn\u2019t get forgotten).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is frustrating for quantity surveyors but also for the management and accountants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
